Jelang Pilkada, BPR Kota Digelontor Rp 9 M

(mam)

Ahead of Pilkada, City BPRs were poured out Rp. 9 billion

Billions in Loss After Pilkada and Pilleg

KEDIRI – In the run-up to the Regional Head Election (Pilkada) for Kediri City, early 2018, BPR Kota Kediri was poured out with IDR 9 billion in funds on the grounds of MSME funds. With the provision, the maximum loan is IDR 25 million.
Based on kediripost readers’ feedback, this UMKM fund raises a number of questions. There is an issue, the fund is very small which is actually absorbed by MSMEs. The funds were reportedly absorbed by borrowers outside the MSMEs with hundreds of millions of loans. So that in 2019, what should have been able to reduce Non-Performing Loans (NPLs), in fact NPLs increased and BPRs suffered losses. This loss situation continues to develop until 2020. “MSMEs are generally more orderly and honest in paying. Being billed just once, generally they are afraid and ashamed, so they pay orderly, ”said the source.
Even though in the income statement, BPR Kota Kediri suffered a loss of up to billions in 2019, but in the 2019 budget changes, the City BPR still paid more than Rp. 122 million to the Kediri City Government as Regional Original Income (PAD).
The failure of the Kediri City BPR which lost billions of rupiah after a political moment, the Kediri City Pilkada in 2018 and the Legislative Election (Pilleg) and the Presidential Election (Pilpres) in 2019, raised ‘suspicion’ by some people. Is it true that BPR Kota Kediri is used to ‘loan’ certain people for certain ‘needs’? There is no certainty yet.
However, one of the former members of the Kediri City DPRD who was successfully met by the kediripost admitted that he still had dependents to the BPR Kota Kediri and his condition was problematic. “Yes, if you want to confiscate collateral, please confiscate the paper (loan documents, ed),” he said.
Meanwhile, the former Director of BPR Kota Kediri, Sugiyanto, when met at his house refused to give any comments because the problem of the Kota Kediri BPR, which is now a problem at the AGO, has been taken over by the City Government. “Sorry, I have not allowed any comments. Moreover, I’m not there (BPR Kota, red), anymore, “he said. (mam)
