KEDIRI – Sidang lanjutan kasus dugaan korupsi Proyek Jembatan Brawijaya dengan terdakwa mantan Walikota Kediri, dr. Samsul Ashar, di Pengadilan Tindak Pidana Korupsi (Tipikor) Surabaya, Kamis (3/6/21) kembali ditunda. Sebab, dr. Syamsul Ashar tidak mampu mengikuti persidangan karena sakit. Pada jadwal sidang sebelumnya, Kamis (20/5/21) persidangan ditunda karena dr. Samsul menjalani operasi di RS. Dr. Soetomo, Surabaya.

Pada jadwal persidangan lanjutan Kamis (3/6/21), sebenarnya dr. Samsul Ashar sudah siap untuk mengikuti sidang lanjutan. Dia sudah datang ke pengadilan Tipikor sejak sekitar pukul 08.00, didampingi 2 dokter dari RS. Namun hingga sekitar pukul 16.00, sidang belum dimulai. Sementara, dr. Samsul hari itu juga masih harus menjalani perawatan. “Setiap sekitar 12 jam, dia (dr.Samsul,red) harus disuntik untuk mengurangi rasa sakitnya,”ujar Eko Budiono SH, Penasehat Hukum (PH) dr.Samsul Ashar, dari Nusantara Law Firm, ditemui usai penundaan persidangan.
Menurut Eko Budiono, majelis hakim meminta pertimbangan para dokter pendamping dr.Samsul saat akan memutuskan apakah persidangan dilanjutkan atau ditunda. Sebab, persidangan dr. Samsul direncanakan dilakukan malam hari, usai sholat magrib atau sekitar pukul 19.00. Tetapi dokter pendamping itu menyatakan dr. Samsul tidak kuat kalau persidangan dilakukan malam hari dan dia harus ke rumah sakit untuk mendapatkan perawatan. “Jadi, penundaan ini atas pertimbangan dokter pendamping,”tandas Eko.
Persidangan lanjutan ini, dijadwalkan mendengar keterangan para saksi, antara lain Irwanto (PT.SGS), Widianto (SGS), Nur Iman (PPKom), Fajar Purnomo, Kasenan (mantan kepala DPU Kota Kediri, dan Rudi Hantoro (PT.SGS). Untuk saksi Kasenan dan Fajar Purnomo dilakukan dengan daring karena kedua berada di LP.
Selain persidangan dengan terdakwa dr. Samsul Ashar, pada hari yang sama juga dilakukan persidangan dengan terdakwa Tjahjo Widjojo alias Ayong, komisaris PT. SGS, pelaksana pembangunan proyek jembatan Brawijaya. (mam)
Sick, Ex-Mayor’s Trial Postponed Again
KEDIRI – The further trial of the alleged corruption case of the Brawijaya Bridge Project with the defendant the former Mayor of Kediri, dr. Samsul Ashar, at the Corruption Court (Tipikor) Surabaya, Thursday (3/6/21) again postponed. Because, dr. Syamsul Ashar was unable to attend the trial due to illness. In the previous trial schedule, Thursday (20/5/21) the trial was postponed because dr. Samsul underwent surgery at the hospital. Dr. Soetomo, Surabaya.
In the trial schedule for Thursday (3/6/21), actually dr. Samsul Ashar is ready to take part in the follow-up trial. He had come to the Corruption Court since around 08.00, accompanied by 2 doctors from the hospital. However, until around 16.00, the trial had not yet started. Meanwhile, dr. Samsul that day also still had to undergo treatment. “Every 12 hours, he (dr.Samsul,ed) has to be injected to reduce the pain,” said Eko Budiono SH, Legal Advisor (PH) dr.Samsul Ashar, from Nusantara Law Firm.
According to Eko Budiono, the panel of judges asked Dr. Samsul’s accompanying doctors for consideration when deciding whether the trial was to be continued or postponed. Because, the trial of dr. Samsul is planned to be carried out at night, after the Maghrib prayer or around 19.00. But the accompanying doctor stated that dr. Samsul is not strong if the trial is held at night and he has to go to the hospital for treatment. “So, this delay is based on the consideration of the accompanying doctor,” said Eko.
This follow-up trial is scheduled to hear statements from witnesses, including Irwanto (PT.SGS), Widianto (SGS), Nur Iman (PPKom), Fajar Purnomo, Kasenan (former head of the Kediri City DPU, and Rudi Hantoro (PT.SGS). For witnesses Kasenan and Fajar Purnomo, it was done online because both were in prison.
In addition to the trial with the defendant dr. Samsul Ashar, on the same day a trial was held with the defendant Tjahjo Widjojo alias Ayong, commissioner of PT. SGS, the executor of the construction of the Brawijaya bridge project. (mom)
