TURMUDI ABROR : Dosen pasca sarjana IAI Tribhakti Kediri
KEDIRI – Rancangan untuk memunculkan calon tunggal melalui ‘Koalisi Istana’ dengan mendorong Hanindhito Himawan Pramana alias Dhito melalui jalur PDIP, dikhawatirkan akan mendorong membengkaknya golongan putih alias Golput pada Pemilihan Bupati / Wakil Bupati Kediri September 2020 mendatang. Karena masyarakat akan kecewa, tidak diberi ruang untuk memilih calon. “Calon tunggal akan mendorong Golput lebih besar, karena masyarakat kecewa pada parpol yang terkesan memaksakan kehendak,”ujar Turmudi Abror, dosen paska sarjana IAI Tribhakti (25/2/20) saat ditemui di kampusnya.
Menurut Turmudi, rencana calon tunggal itu menunjukkan adanya ketakutan yang besar dari pengusung Dhito, yakni takut kalah, karena kapabilitas dan elektabilitas calon diragukan. Lebih-lebih Dhito belum dikenal masyarakat Kediri, masih terlalu muda, dan belum pengalaman secara politik. “Dengan situasi seperti itu, Dhito mengandalkan kekuatan ayahnya, Pramono Anung. Tetapi secara pribadi belum memiliki kapabilitas politik yang diakui. Apalagi hidupnya tidak di Kediri,”tandasnya.
Karena takut kalah dan elektabilitasnya diragukan, sehingga merekayasa sedemikian rupa agar Dhito maju tanpa lawan. “Secara aturan boleh calon tunggal. Tapi itu mengecewakan masyarakat, mematikan demokrasi di Kediri,”tandas akademisi yang juga mantan calon wakil bupati 2010 itu.
Turmudi berharap agar calon tunggal Bupati Kediri tidak benar-benar terjadi. Sehingga masyarakat bisa mendapatkan alternative pilihan, mana yang dinilai lebih baik, bukan calon yang dipaksakan. “Idealnya ya jangan calon tunggal, agar masyarakat tidak kecewa,”tambah Turmudi. (mam)
Single Candidate, Fearful, Push Abstentions
KEDIRI – The plan to bring up a single candidate through the ‘Palace Coalition’ by encouraging Hanindhito Himawan Pramana aka Dhito through the PDIP route, is feared that it will swell the white group alias Golput in the Kediri Regent / Deputy Regent Election in September 2020. Because people will be disappointed, they will not be given room to vote for candidates. “A single candidate will encourage Golput to be bigger, because people are disappointed at political parties that seem to impose their will,” said Turmudi Abror, a graduate lecturer at IAI Tribhakti (25/2/20) when met at his campus.
According to Turmudi, the single candidate’s plan showed a great fear from the bearers of Dhito, namely the fear of losing, because the capability and electability of the candidate were doubted. Moreover Dhito has not been known by the people of Kediri, is still too young, and has no political experience. “With such a situation, Dhito relied on the strength of his father, Pramono Anung. But personally do not yet have a recognized political capability. Moreover, his life is not in Kediri, “he said.
For fear of losing and electability is doubtful, so engineered in such a way that Dhito advanced without an opponent. “The rules may be a single candidate. But it disappoints the community, it kills democracy in Kediri, “said the academician who is also a former deputy regent candidate for 2010.
Turmudi hopes that the single candidate for Regent of Kediri does not really happen. So that people can get alternative choices, which ones are considered better, not forced candidates. “Ideally, don’t be a single candidate, so that people are not disappointed,” Turmudi added. (mam)
