KEDIRI – Pencanangan pembangunan Bandara Kediri akhirnya resmi dilakukan oleh 4 mentri sekaligus, yaitu Mentri kemaritiman dan investasi, sekaligus Plt Mentri Perhubungan (bukan Budi Karya Sumadi seperti tertulis pada berita sebelumnya,red), Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, Mentri Agraria dan Tata Ruang, Sofyan Djalil, Menseskab Pramono Anung, dan Mentri PUPR Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, melalui video conference, mulai sekitar pukul 13.00 sampai sekitar pukul 14.00.
Video conference itu diikuti juga oleh Gubernur Jawa Timur Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Bupati Kediri Haryanti Sutrisno, Walikota Abdullah Abu Bakar, ketua DPRD Kabupaten Kediri Dodik Purwanto, ketua DPRD Kota Sunoto, para Muspimda, dan sebagainya.
Pantauan kediripost.co.id di lokasi groundbreaking, situasi di lokasi memang tergolong sepi dibanding acara-acara resmi yang biasa dilakukan. Meskipun ada sekitar 30-50 orang di lokasi, yang umumnya aparat dan pelaksana lapangan. Di lokasi juga disediakan tenda besar untuk lokasi acara video conference itu. Hanya saja, awak media dilarang mendekat ke area lokasi acara.
Dalam sambutan video conferencennya, Pramono Anung menjelaskan bandara Kediri ini merupakan satu-satunya sekaligus bandara di Indonesia pertama yang dibangun oleh swasta murni. “Sebelumnya, saya dengan Bupati Kediri Sutrisno (saat itu,red) pernah menginisiasi pembangunan bandara di Kediri, tapi belum terlaksana. Kini ada Gudang Garam yang menginisiasi dan langsung dibangun,”ujar Pramono.
Sementara itum Luhut Binsar Panjaitan menjelaskan, rencana Bandara ini sudah dilakukan sekitar dua tahun sebelumnya bersama para kepala daerah yang lain, termasuk Gubernur Jawa Timur, kemudian muncul ide dari Gudang Garam. “Ini adalah kerjasama berserajah karena baru pertama kali disponsori swasta,” jelasnya.
Sedangkan Direktur Utama Angkasa Pura 1 Faik Fahmi mengatakan MoU antara PT Angkasa Pura dengan Gudang Garam untuk proyek bandara telah dilakukan dengan bentuk Build Operate Transfer (BOT) dalam masa tertentu.
Di sisi lain, dalam press releasenya yang dikirim PT Gudang Garam Tbk ke sejumlah awak media, Direktur PT Gudang Garam Tbk, Istata Taswin Siddharta mengatakan tujuan pembangunan bandara ini adalah meningkatkan konektivitas dan memperbaiki disparitas pembangunan khususnya di Provinsi Jawa Timur bagian Selatan. Daerah sekitar bandara juga akan tumbuh menjadi pusat keekonomian baru, ada industri, kuliner, dan pariwisata.
Secara teknis, bandara ini akan dilengkapi landas pacu sepanjang 3.300 meter yang dapat melayani pesawat badan lebar kelas 4E untuk rute penerbangan domestik dan internasional. “Kami berharap pembangunan Bandara Internasional Kediri ini bisa terlaksana dengan baik dan membawa manfaat bagi kita semuanya,” kata Istata. While Luhut Binsar Panjaitan explained that the airport plan had been carried out about two years earlier with other regional heads, including the Governor of East Java, then an idea from Gudang Garam emerged. “This is a facilitation collaboration because this is the first time a private company has sponsored it,” he explained.
Meanwhile, President Director of Angkasa Pura 1 Faik Fahmi said the MoU between PT Angkasa Pura and Gudang Garam for the airport project had been carried out in the form of a Build Operate Transfer (BOT) within a certain period.
On the other hand, in a press release sent by PT Gudang Garam Tbk to a number of media crews, Director of PT Gudang Garam Tbk, Istata Taswin Siddharta said the purpose of the airport development was to improve connectivity and improve development disparity, especially in the South East Java Province. The area around the airport will also grow into a new economic center, with industry, culinary and tourism.
Technically, the airport will be equipped with a 3,300 meter runway that can service 4E class wide body aircraft for domestic and international flight routes. “We hope that the construction of the Kediri International Airport can be carried out well and bring benefits to us all,” Istata said.
