Tuding KPU Tidak Netral, Tantang Sumpah Pocong

Pelanggaran Dibiarkan, Bakar Kemenyan Pengusir Setan

Namun, hingga perpanjangan masa perpanjangan pendaftaran jalur Partai Politik (Parpol) ternyata emunculkan satu pasangan calon. “KPU akan terus berusaha berbuat netral hingga tahapan Pilkada dinyatakan telah selesai,” tandas Anwar. Accusing the KPU of Not Neutral, Challenge the Pocong Oath

Offenses are allowed, Burn the Exorcist Incense

KEDIRI – The neutrality of the KPU of Kediri Regency in the reguon election on December 9, 2020, has begun to be questioned by some people. Dozens of residents held a demonstration accusing the neutrality of the organizers, the KPU and Bawaslu, Wednesday (21/10/2020). They found a number of indications that the organizers were not neutral, starting with irregularities in the process, issues of socialization, campaigns, and massive violations that were suspected of not being followed up or ignored.
During the action, they gave speeches, carrying a sound system, banners and posters demanding that the KPU and Bawaslu be honest and neutral in the Pilkada process. They also burned incense which represented as if they were casting out demons. The demonstrators challenged the KPU and Bawaslu to take pocong oaths to ensure public confidence in the neutrality of the organizers. However, the KPU refused to be sworn in by the demonstrators. “This oath is deemed necessary so that later fraud does not occur. Considering that in the election of the Regent and Deputy Regent of Kediri this year, only one pair of candidates or a single candidate has emerged, “said Tomi, one of the participants in the action.
Meanwhile, Anwar Anshori, KPU Commissioner for the Technical Implementation Division, emphasized that his party refused the demonstrators’ oath, not because they wanted to commit fraud, but the KPU KPU commissioners in Kediri Regency were officially sworn in at the time of inauguration. “There is no need to respond to their oath. Remembering that during the inauguration, the commissioner had already been sworn in religiously and officially,” he said.
According to Anwar, the KPU has been fair and neutral. One example is opening registration from individual channels, as a form of the KPU in facilitating the community and generating other candidates. However, until the extension of the registration period for the Political Party (Parpol) route, one pair of candidates appeared. “The KPU will continue to try to be neutral until the Pilkada stage is declared complete,” said Anwar.
