Mahasiswa IAIN Khawatir Kesehatan Mental

KHAWATIR KESEHATAN MENTAL : Qoriul Istafidz, Presiden Mahasiswa IAIN Kediri

Hari Kesehatan Mental Dunia, tambah Istafidz, seharusnya menjadi refleksi bagi kaum intelektual, khususnya akademisi. Salah satunya, kegagalan adaptasi terhadap kebiasaan baru pembelajaran. “Sehingga muncul Kebosanan yang menyebabkan stres,”tambahnya.

Hal senada diungkapkan Haris Robi Wiranata.

IAIN Students Worried about Mental Health

Online Learning Brings Boredom and Stress

KEDIRI – The online learning process will affect students in terms of their mental health, due to boredom and stress due to continuous online learning. “Many students experience boredom and stress due to online learning,” said Qori’ul Istafidz, Student President of IAIN Kediri, in a reflection of World Mental Health Day at the IAIN campus.
According to Qoriul Istafidz, online learning is not an effective problem solution to the learning system in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The boredom and stress experienced by the students are also due to the continuous workload given by the teacher. “Students often try to take part in online learning in various ways, which can threaten their mental health,” he said.
World Mental Health Day, added Istafidz, should be a reflection for intellectuals, especially academics. One of them, failure to adapt to new learning habits. “So that appears boredom which causes stress,” he added.
The same thing was expressed by Haris Robi Wiranata. This fifth semester student felt limited for interaction while studying and became depressed because of the large number of assignments given by the lecturer. So it is difficult to accommodate continuous assignments from lecturers. “I have difficulty adapting to new educational patterns, sometimes feeling bored and stressed. Moreover, sometimes class hours conflict. Sometimes lazy and indifferent to lectures,” said the Islamic Psychology Study Program student.
Similar adaptation difficulties were also conveyed by Satria. He admitted that he had difficulty adapting to the new learning pattern with the many assignments he was given, so he felt bored. “Not to mention if there is a clash of learning times and there are classes suddenly rolling hours. “Online tuition puts a lot of spending on quotas. Having issued a lot of quotas, the discussion sessions are not interesting too, “he said. (Sul)
